Pastoral Care Program
Counseling can be instrumental in helping a survivor overcome the trauma experienced in an abusive relationship and move forward. Pastoral Care and support is available for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault whether it occurred recently or in the past. All support services provided by Say Your Name! Inc. are confidential and provided at no cost.
Advocacy Program
Navigating through the legal system can be difficult and confusing. Say Your Name! Inc. provides assistance to individuals experiencing domestic violence in the Central Virginia areas. Understanding the impact that violence has on individuals, the Advocacy Program offers trauma-informed support to all survivors through a newtork of resouces as they explore their options in the criminal justice system.

All support services provided by Say Your Name! Inc. are confidential and provided at no cost. We provide services to anyone who has experienced sexual and domestic violence regardless of race, gender, age, national, origin, gender identity or expression, faith, sexual orientation, disability and ethnicity.
Community Education & Training
We believe the cornerstone of women's equality and the prevention of domestic violence is education. We strive to engage, educate and inspire community members to join us in this belief. We offer a range of training’s, presentations, and workshops to spread awareness about domestic violence. We provided information to businesses, employers, church groups, civic organizations, schools, and universities. The following presentations are available:
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE 101
This presentation provides a basic understanding of the dynamics of abuse. Presentations can be customized to address the impact of abuse on specific populations and communities. By addressing the myths, stereotypes, and beliefs about domestic violence, we hope to inspire community members to join us in empowering survivors to Say Their Name!
TEEN DATING VIOLENCE/PREVENTION
According to the NCADV, 1 in 3 adolescents in the U.S. is a victim of physical, sexual, emotional or verbal abuse from a dating partner. Say Your Name! Teen Dating Violence presentation engages teens in a conversation about stereotypes, beliefs, and attitudes that lead to unhealthy relationships.
